Pinchock is a board member of the Michigan Unit of Teleflora, which sponsors "Make Someone Smile Week," the floral industry's leading benevolent program, every year. This is the 11th year for the program which distributes about 40,000 mugs of flowers across the country.
Pinchock arrived at 9 a.m. and by noon, DWF Wholesale Florists had carts containing a total of 300 yellow mugs with a black smiley face on it, each packed with flowers and ready for distribution.
Pinchock is making 120 mugs on his own this year, which he plans to deliver to Genesy's Hurley Cancer Center and the Woodhaven Senior Community starting Monday.
"I got another 5 or 6 hours into it at least," he said. "I do 50 of mine here. I have to do the others on my own."
