Towns offer sneak peeks inside historic homes
Folks looking to get a sneak peek inside some of the region’s most beautiful historic homes, all decked out in their holiday finest, can do just that this weekend — and help some worthy causes at the same time — as Bristol, Jonesborough and Rogersville all throw open the doors on their annual Tour of Homes events.
• The Rogersville Heritage Association’s “Christmas Under Many Roofs” tour of homes, to be held from 3 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, will include seven stops in and around historic downtown Rogersville.
On the itinerary this year are the Thomas Amis Home, 677 Burem Road; Arnold Home, 1326 McKinney Chapel Road; Bonnie Blue Farm, 1746 McKinney Chapel Road; Hale Springs Inn, 110 W. Main St.; Holt Home, 306 S. Church St.; Rogersville Presbyterian Church, 309 W. Kyle St.; and Smith-Robertson Home, 310 E. Broadway.
Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 the day of the event, and can be purchased at the Mountain Star Mall, Otis Home Center, Green Bank, the Rogersville Depot office, Hale Springs Inn, Charmed Southern and U-Save Drug Center.
