New York in Bloom returns to State Museum
Spring is in the air at the State Museum — which means it's time for some blooms and some sparkle.
New York in Bloom
New York in Bloom, the museum's yearly fundraiser, features unique flower arrangements by area floral designers, garden club members and flower enthusiasts. The 21st annual showcase will also offer flower-arranging demonstrations and family fun.
The event is worthwhile, even if you're not into flowers: Proceeds from the two-day showcase will benefit the Museum Club and Discovery Squad, after-school programs for children and teens from Albany city schools. The programs provide academic support, mentoring, career guidance and the opportunity to explore the museum's collections and work with scientists.
Parking next to the museum is free on Saturday and Sunday.
