LaGrange, GA – February 2012 / Hospitality 1ST / When 18th-century English poet versed, “all gardening is landscape painting,” perhaps he was foreshadowing the LaGrange Art Museum’s (LAM) Inaugural Art in Bloom event, April 20, a celebration of fresh floral arrangements and fine art highlighting the talents of famed floral designer Margot Shaw, whose work will be on view next to the works of the art which inspired them.

Friendships flower (when you get away for the weekend!)
Gather the gals for a weekend away. Girls can get gussied up for Art in Bloom ($65 a ticket) benefitting the LaGrange Art Museum. Held at the Highland Country Club, Friday, April 20, light refreshments will be served at 10:30 a.m. while guests bid on delicate porcelain silent auction items designed by famous porcelain artist, Pam Tidwell. Co-owner of Charleston boutique, Vieuxtemps, Tidwell’s handcrafted and hand-painted masterpieces portray botanical scenes.
